Position Description
Exciting opportunity for a Flow Cytometry Operator to join the HMS Department of Immunology and participate in cutting-edge research on the immune system and immunologically-related diseases, using advanced analysis and cell-sorting technology. The Operator will participate in the operation, maintenance and quality control of several flow cytometers (MoFlo Astrios, BD-Aria, BD-Symphony, Cytek Aurora, Agilent Penteon). The Operator will perform analyses and cell sorting in collaboration with researchers at HMS, provide advice on experimental design, and assist the manager with training researchers on the use of the instruments. The Operator will also participate in general clerical duties and various tasks required for the operation and maintenance of the facility. We are looking for a team player for this stimulating and interactive position, ideally with robust experience and know-how in flow cytometry, but we will also train a promising candidate.
Basic Qualifications
At least one year experience with flow cytometry or related technique.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences.
- Background in immunology as well as expertise with cytometry software (e.g. FlowJo, FCS Express) is a plus.
- Must also have good communication skills and attention to detail.

This is an in-person position based on our campus in Boston.
