Dan Coury asks a question about output from the Coulter cytometers. If this is
referring to the Elite, it is possible to take metafiles from this instrument
and take them into several graphics packages. These are output as CGM files.
There is a problem however if you take histogramic data with a small number
of counts. The resulting file can look pretty horrible because of the reductionof channels in the histogram.
Kinetics, Word Art & Graphs; Powerpoint; Freelance; Harvard Graphics; Slidewriter; wordperfect all accept CGM files and so
theoretically anything that you can get on teh Elite screen can be dumped to a
graphics program for "modification" such as removing unwanted titles, adding
text etc.
If there are specific questions regarding the Elite outputs I can probably answer them directly if requested.
