Imani Workshops
The skills training piece of FPI is called Imani Workshops. The workshop produces handicrafts for local and international sale. In addition it provides a socially supportive environment for AMPATH clients facing stigma and estrangement from the family and community.
Kenyan Crafts - 100% of the income earned through sales is reinvested in the Workshop!
Homemade Jewelry: Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and lapel pins are each hand-crafted by Imani artisans. Unique pendants and beads include painted bone, magazine beads, ceramic poah beads, dyed cow horn, and glass beadwork.
Kenyan Fabric Bags: Traditional Kitenge Cloth Hand Bags and pouches are expertly hand-sewn with lining, zipper openings, handles, and pockets.
Handmade Paper: Smart Journals, gretting cards, and bookmarks of varying colors and styles.
Beadwork: From bowls to intricately woven AIDS Flag ribbons to show support and share awareness of HIV/AIDS.
