For those of you who missed the question, I was asking about graphics
presentation options when acquiring data with CellQuest. The most common
response I got was to just cut/copy plots from CellQuest and paste them directly
into the presentation software of choice. It is my understanding that this will
work with anything on a Mac (Word, Powerpoint, Photoshop, etc.) Using Word you
can specify the cells in a table and then copy a plot from CellQuest. The plot
will be the same size as the cell it is copied into.
Other responses:
There is a built in screen capture function on the Mac. Use shift-command-3 to
create a file that is a bitmap capture of the whole screen.
To export to a PC get Flash-it from Shareware.com. It's a control panel for the
Mac and you can select any part of a screen display and save it as a number of
graphics file types.
Flowjo and WinMDI were also praised for their ability to accept plots pasted in
from CellQuest and then transfer to a graphics program of choice without loss of
resolution or "other problems" associated with pasting directly from CellQuest.
Thanks again for the info everyone, especially to those whose responses I
regurgitated here.
