Short Summary
Volume B contains 37 chapters some of which are revised from
the earlier edition of this book (Z.Darzynkiewicz &
H.A.Crissman, Methods in Cell Biology: Flow Cytometry, Volume
33, 1990).
Each chapter provides extensive introduction and discussion
regarding the technique addressed. The advantage of this
format is that it really gives the reader a comprehensive
discussion regarding the establishment of the methods and helps in
trouble-shooting.
A number of new chapters appear in this 2nd edition,
many of which are related to molecular cytometry, sorting and
some related technologies such as magnetic bead separation, and photodamage sorting.
This volume contains several chpaters on DNA/RNA cytometry, microbial cytometry,
as well as plant cytometry and quality control and standards.
- This volume is one of a 2 volume set (see Methods in Cell Biology, volume 41)
- (Note: summary written by one of the authors)
