Biomedical Engineering is an interdisciplinary program that is a joint effort
of the Schools of Engineering, Science and Veterinary Medicine on the West Lafayette
campus as well as the School of Engineering and Technology, Medicine, and Dentistry
on the Indiana University - Purdue University campus at Indianapolis. In addition
to these participating academic units, the program operates in close collaboration
with several centers, including the Hillenbrand Biomedical Engineering Center at West
Lafayette, and the Biomechanics and Biomaterials Research Center at Indianapolis. The combined
faculty, staff, and facilities of the two campuses provide tremendous resources for
students pursuing either masters (M.S.B.M.E.) or doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees in Biomedical
