I would probably treat this situation like quantitating CD34 levels.
I will collect a minimum of 100 cd34 + cells for correct analysis. I may
have to collect >100,000 total to achieve this. By limiting the saved data to
CD45 pos events and only saving the parameters needed for analysis then
setting the resolution to 256 the file sized can be kept to a minimum.
On an HP system these large files are tedious to analyze. On the MAC
they present little problems.
