B) Data archiving from FACS H-P computers:-

As an alternative to the good, but rather pricy combination of B-D's
own FACSnet + Bering magneto-optical or Benoulli disk system, we use
the much cheaper option, consisting of a fast PC-clone, fitted with a
cheaper Sony magneto-optical disk and linked to the H-P by means of the
WHPPC data transfer software, supplied by Verity. ubsequent data analysis
is by the excellent, if rather user-unfriendly, WinList etc. suite of
software, also from Verity, but one could also use the analysis packages
from other suppliers, such as Phoenix.
