About the discrimination of brass and graphite particles. The remark
'having the same light scattering properties' is somewhat
unspecified. What about unusual angles as measuring backscattering?
This will be dependent on reflectivity and absorbance of the light.
What about different wavelengths, it seems unlikely that brass and graphite
particles have the same absorption properties over the visible
wavelength region.
Besides the arguments above, what about a Coulter offrice added to
the cytometer, measurement of conductivity should show a
discrimination between brass and graphite (and other particles, like
sand, or whatever is mixed with your particles).
