Post-doctoral position.
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral scientist to join an HIV research team that seeks to understand mucosal immune responses to HIV and how they modulate transmission risk.
The successful applicant will work defining adaptive and innate immune responses in blood, breast milk and genital secretions. ‘State-of-the-art’ approaches including multi-parameter flow cytometry will be undertaken to investigate T and B antigen specific responses.
Applicants will have a doctoral degree in the biological sciences. The post will suit newly qualified individuals, although additional experience in virology, molecular biology or biochemistry would be desirable. Applicants must be highly motivated and have excellent communication and organization skills.
