Projects
Post graduation:
Title: Characterisation of blood components in Breast Cancer patients.
Objective: Early detection of predominant malignancies, based on the observation that the freely circulating DNA content in plasma and serum is higher in Indian cancer patients than the sex and age-matched controls. Several tests have shown encouraging results.
Background: Global cancer statistics show the number of cancer cases increase by 50% to 15 million by the year 2020. World cancer report says next to cardiovascular and infectious diseases, cancer holds the thirds place in mortality rate - Lung Cancer being the most common worldwide, 1.2 million cases every year. In spite of the available techniques such as histopathological methods, endoscopic and imaging approaches, early detection still remains a desired goal.
Graduation Project
Title: Analysis and standardisation of cheap and locally available medium for the multiplication of Trichoderma. harzianum, a biological control agent.
