Short Summary
This book presents a wide variety of methods useful for
flow cytometry based laboratories. Methods are presented in
recipe format without extensive explanation. The book allows
the reader to make a reasonable attempt at setting up new
assays without spending an excessive time reviewing the
original literature to determine how to set up the assay
required. Sections are generally divided into
immunophenotyping methods, DNA/RNA methods, methods for
cellular function, general methods, reagents and general
laboratory principles.
The book is very useful for
laboratories that wish to begin to run assays for which they
have little or no previous experience. The detailed reagent
concentrations, recipes and techniques can significantly
reduce the time taken to get a new assay running
successfully. Space for annotations is available in most
sections so that the user can customize their own copy to
some extent.
